ABOUT MS. BETHANY ANGEL

A third-generation missionary, Bethany was born in Costa Rica to American missionary parents. She grew up in Mexico with Spanish as her first language, and by the time she was six, she was also fluent in German. Her remarkably varied background has enabled her to move between languages with complete ease. "Obviously, you have to know the language well," she says, "but it's just as important to know and respect the culture."

Besides languages, Bethany also absorbed her parents' and grandparents' teaching zeal. "Even when I was a child," she recalls, "my parents would find me teaching to my friends and dolls.

Bethany left Mexico her senior year to transfer to a high school in Irving, Texas. She then moved to California to continued her studies in music, bilingual education and business.  Along the way she met her husband who was serving in the military.

After several relocations Bethany was introduced to Dove Award-winning producer Isaac Hernandez (Sandi Patti’s Libertad me das), who signed on to produce her first album, Pronto Vendrás. Shortly after she released a children's album, Dios Pintó.

Being a wife and mother, she knows that teaching children is her true calling. Bethany's love for children has propeled her to bring Music Lingua to families in the Hot Springs, Benton, and Bryant area.
